The first look poster of Papa Buka, a groundbreaking co-production between Papua New Guinea and India, is unveiling .
Papa Buka marks the first-ever cinematic collaboration between Papua New Guinea and India. The film is helmed by award-winning Indian director Dr. Biju and produced by Noelene Taula Wunum (NAFA Productions, Papua New Guinea), Akshay Kumar Parija (Akshay Parija Productions), Pa Ranjith (Neelam Productions), and Indian actor-producer Prakash Bare (Silicon Media).
The stellar cast features Sine Boboro, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Prakash Bare, and John Sike, among others.
The project is supported by the Papua New Guinea Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the High Commission of India in Papua New Guinea, the National Cultural Commission of PNG, the Department of Community Development and Religion (PNG).
Principal photography for Papa Buka was completed in Papua New Guinea in August and September 2024. The film is currently in its final stages of post-production in India.
